A trigger point injection will deliver medication to a “trigger point” or muscle spasm that our providers are able to identify using ultrasound imaging. This allows the muscle or area of inflammation to relax and will also relieve pain locally in that area.

Sarapin is an anti-inflammatory derived from the Pitcher Plant. This medication is FDA approved and is what Coastal MD uses as the main ingredient in a trigger point injection.

You may feel a little “sting” or “burning sensation” at the site of a trigger point injection. The pain or any discomfort  associated with a trigger point injection is minimal. We do our best at minimizing the pain associated with the procedure by selecting to use some of the smallest needles that we can to administer the medication but also reach the correct target area. The benefit or pain relief will ABSOLUTELY outweigh any discomfort you may feel! Results are IMMEDIATE.

Trigger point injections are great in treating muscle and nerve pain. They can be used to treat migraines, chronic headaches, neck pain, back pain, pain related to “bulging discs”, “nerve impingements”, disc herniations, shoulder pain, elbow pain, wrist pain (including carpal tunnel syndrome), tendonitis, hip pain, leg pain, knee pain, ankle pain, and foot pain (including plantar fasciitis)!! The list goes on and on…

A lip flip uses neurotoxins to make your lips look fuller without adding additional volume. The result is a subtle enhancement that will last around three months. Lip filler adds volume to your lips and smooths out the lines on your lips.
